This is not the beast itself. This is the moment the beast was stopped. In the legend, the Spirit of Destruction — a bull of impossible weight — is frozen by Aksylu’s touch into a block of ice at dawn. Here, that myth is given engineered form. Disparate fragments of plastic, scattered and cheap, are assembled into the image of the bull — and sealed in epoxy resin. What was once debris becomes monolith. The sculpture does not depict movement; it captures the instant of arrest. Tension without motion. A ruin prevented. Knowing the tale, you will see the freezing breath. Not knowing the tale, you will still feel: something immense is being held in check here.
